Toyota is in crisis due to Covid-19!

The plants may be affected by possible interruptions of China's supplies, as some remain unable to produce and transport goods, while others remain closed. Toyota Motors indicated that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has negatively affected new car commercialization, coupled with a volatile stock market and rising unemployment. During the first quarter of 2020, Toyota recorded 495,747 units sold in North America, an 8.8% drop compared to the same period in 2019, when it marketed 543,716 units. Currently the best-selling model in North America is the RAV4 SUV, which registered 97,631 units in the first quarter of the year, increasing its sales by 16.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Toyota Motor Corp announced recently that operations at its plants in Japan have been affected by supply chain problems related to the coronavirus outbreak for some weeks, as the global outbreak accelerated. The automaker, which operates 16 vehicle and component sites in Japan, said it would decide how to continue operations at its domestic plants. Plants have been affected by supply disruptions in China, as some plants at the epicenter of the virus outbreak are still unable to produce and transport goods, while some plants remain closed by order of regional authorities.
